Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Luxor. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive north to El Minya, a city steeped in ancient Egyptian heritage.
Upon arrival, you'll explore the Great Plain — once the site of Akhetaten, the capital city built by Pharaoh Akhenaten, inspired by the worship of the sun god Aten. This vast area is home to the remnants of royal palaces, tombs, and temples that reflect a unique chapter in Egypt’s history.
After touring the historic plain, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in El Minya. Later, your guide will escort you to your hotel in El Minya for check-in and an evening of rest and relaxation.
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will take you to Beni Hassan, a remarkable archaeological site dating back to the Middle Kingdom (2055–1650 BC). Here, you'll visit the intricately decorated tombs of regional governors, including the Tomb of Khety, a ruler during the 11th Dynasty, and the Tomb of Baquet, along with his son’s burial site.
One of the highlights is the Tomb of Khnumhotep, a prominent governor from the 12th Dynasty, known for its detailed wall paintings that depict everyday life, wrestling scenes, and military expeditions.
You’ll also explore the Northern Tombs, less visited but equally fascinating, offering panoramic views over the Nile Valley.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant in El Minya, you'll begin the return journey to Luxor, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel — ending two unforgettable days filled with ancient wonders and rich history.
