Your first stop is the impressive Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus, one of the most significant deities in Egyptian mythology. As the second-largest temple in Egypt after Karnak, Edfu will captivate you with its remarkable preservation, towering columns, and detailed reliefs. Inside, admire the beautifully decorated pillars featuring images of Hathor and Horus.
Next, travel to Kom Ombo to visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to both Horus the Elder and Sobek, the crocodile god. Built by Ptolemy VI Philometor in the early 2nd century BC, this dual temple features symmetrical architecture, intricate carvings of pharaohs, and ancient monuments that reflect its dual devotion.
