You will be collected from your hotel in Cairo and transferred in a private, air-conditioned vehicle for a scenic journey of approximately three hours to Alexandria, Egypt’s beautiful coastal city and its second most important metropolis.
Upon arrival in Alexandria in the morning, your tour will begin with a visit to the remarkable Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an extraordinary burial site dating back to the Roman era. This multi-level necropolis is adorned with intricate carvings and unique decorations that blend elements of both Egyptian and Roman artistic traditions.
Next, explore the impressive Roman Theater, an ancient structure that was initially built by the Nabataeans in the early first century AD and later expanded by the Romans after annexing the region in 106 AD. With seating capacity for around 3,000 spectators, the theater stands as a testament to Alexandria’s rich historical layers.
Continue your tour with a visit to the striking Library of Alexandria, a modern architectural marvel whose design draws inspiration from both the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria and the sun god Amun-Ra. This vibrant cultural complex houses several specialized libraries, a planetarium, three museums, a research center, and a modern printing facility. Please note: The library is closed on Fridays and Saturdays, though it can be viewed from the outside.

Before concluding your tour, you’ll have the opportunity to view the imposing Citadel of Qaitbay from the outside. During your visit, you will explore three of these remarkable tombs, each showcasing intricate wall reliefs and vivid colors that have withstood the test of time.
Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: Next, you will visit the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, nestled beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari. Dedicated to Egypt’s most successful female pharaoh, this impressive mortuary temple features a unique architectural design with tiered terraces that rise harmoniously from the surrounding desert landscape. Its symmetry and grandeur make it one of the most extraordinary structures of ancient Egypt.
Colossi of Memnon: Conclude your West Bank tour with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Once guarding the entrance to his now-ruined mortuary temple, these monumental figures have stood as silent sentinels over the Theban necropolis for over 3,000 years.
